Fast growing, perennial climber to 3m high, usually grown as an annual in cooler climates. The leaves are deep green, deltoid with pointed corners, a cordate base and toothed margins. The prolific flowers are 5cm wide, round and orange-yellow with black centres, occuring in summer and autumn.

Uses

Ornamental flowering climber suitable for growing on a trellis or over a tree stump.

Culture

Grow in full sun or semi-shade in temperate and warm climates. Provide plenty of water during hot conditions. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Frost sensitive. Provide vertical support. Propagate by seed.
