Clump-forming herbaceous perennial with a height and width of .3m. Leaves are broadly lanceolate, dentate and mid-green. The dense and rounded, flowers are pink or purple with yellow centres and occur terminally on strong hairy stems during spring.

Uses

Colourful perennial suitable for cottage gardens, garden beds and perennial borders.

Culture

Suitable for sun or semi-shade in a cool or temperate climate. Prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Frost resistant, but sensitive to dry conditions. Prune dead flowers. Propagate from seed, division or root cuttings.
