A group of evergreen shrubs approx 3-6m high by 2-4m wide. Leaves are simple, alternate, glossy and dark green, with some varieties featuring copper-red young leaves. Five-petalled, white flowers in broad clusters appear in late spring, followed by dark berries.

Uses

Ornamental shrub suitable for hedging.

Culture

Suitable for full sun or part shade with protection from strong winds. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil and is frost tolerant. Can be pruned to form a hedge. Propagate by cuttings in summer.
