Uses

Daikon grows quickly so it is ready to harvest in around 8-10 weeks from sowing, Care needs to be taken when harvesting daikon as they are quite brittle and easily damaged. Daikon can be refrigerated and stored for about 2 weeks from harvest. Wash the roots and cut off the leaves and store in plastic bags.

                            Culture

Cool weather with temperatures between 10°C and 20°C is preferable for most Daikon varieties as they have a tendency to go to seed during warm to hot conditions. There are slow bolting varieties available.
Daikon radishes are easy to grow but need deep, moist friable soils.
