An annual to 45cm tall, with small, narrow leaves on reddish stems, and with pale pink or white flowers.


Leaves are used for their peppery flavour, particularly with meats and vegetables.


Prefers sunny position; grows in both temperate areas through to sub tropics. Needs a rich, well drained soil. Mulch heavily in warm climates or during dry seasons.


Propagate by seed. Germinates fast.
