This evergreen groundcover or sub-shrub grows to a height of 0.3 metres, with a spread of 0.5 metres. It bears masses of characterstic, pink, bell shaped flowers in the winter.

Uses

Ornamental shrub suited to small and large gardens.

Culture

Erica carnea prefers well drained soils in an open, sunny position. It will tolerate alkaline soils, and is drought and frost resistant. It can be propagated from seed sown in the Spring.
