Also known as Clarkia amoena. Fast-growing annual plant to 60cm high by 30cm wide. Has thin upright stems and the leaves are mid-green and lanceolate. Pink, cup-like, single or double flowers occur in summer.

Uses

Ornamental flower suitable for cottage gardens or as a bedding plant.

Culture

Suitable for full sun in a temperate climate. Prefers moist, well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Overly fertile soil will promote vegetative growth at the expense of flowers. Frost tolerant. Propagate by seed. Susceptible to Botrytis.
