Lamb's Ears

Evergreen, spreading herbaceous perennial growing up to .2m high by 2m wide. Leaves are grey-green, very hairy and broadly obovate. Flowers are mauve-pink, occurring on terminal spikes in spring-summer.

Uses

Perennial groundcover grown for its ornamental foliage. Suitable for rockeries, perennial borders, cottage gardens and garden beds.

Culture

Suitable for full sun in temperate climates. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Tolerates drought and infertile soils. Sensitive to very cold, wet or humid conditions. Prune after flowering to keep dense. Propagate by division in autumn or spring.
