LANDSCAPING |
Four Lessons show you the basics
of how to Design A Garden.
Lesson 1. Principles of Landscaping This lesson is designed to
provide you with a general background on the major principles of landscape
gardening. Every landscape consists of living and non-living components.
Examples of non-living components are rocks, paths, walls and garden
accessories.
Lesson 2.
Surveying Your Garden Before commencing your landscape design you need to
collate certain information upon which the design will be based: 1. Study the
environment of the site.
Lesson 3. Preparing a Draft
Plan Landscape designers use a series of plans to avoid the overall plan
becoming too culttered and unreadable. The plans are prepared in stages as
follows: 1. Site plan.
Lesson 4. The Final Draft Many designers think
of a garden as being similar to a house; that is, it is made up of a series of
rooms. The rooms of a garden, like a house, may be laid out as an opn plan, with
each area largely open.
